The applications are held on a rolling basis, so we will review them on a weekly basis and will close once we find a suitable candidate. If you see the position, then it is still open, but you are encouraged to apply ASAP, as it normally takes us no longer than 3 weeks to fill a position.

You need to complete our online application form, which will prompt you to answer the following application questions (max 150 words each):

-
Why are you the best candidate to fill this role?
-
What would be your personal development objectives for the first year of employment with us?
-
Please describe your responsibilities and results in a relevant work experience.
-
Excluding this job, what would your dream job be?
-
Please upload a CV and cover letter.

It takes us typically 2 weeks to process your application, so if you do not hear from us within that timeframe, that means you will be unlikely to be invited to an interview.

If you are looking to join our network of self employed tutors to teach our students, you can apply using the tutor application page.
Educational Consultant
Snapshot
As Educational Consultant, you will be responsible for working closely with students and families providing advice with regards to:
(1) day to day educational decisions, mostly within the realm of the International Baccalaureate, and

(2) long term choices with regards to university applications and degree orientation.
(3) Assembling teams of tutors to provide support for students in their academic journeys
Impact: Change a student's life.
At 17 years of age, students find themselves in front of major crossroads. As educational consultant, you will play a vital role in these kids' journey, and you will be remembered for all their life as the key person who was there when they needed this crucial support, at the very end of their high school journey.
-
Will they become lawyers? Or will they become musicians?

-
Will they have the courage and the support they need to face these difficult choices?

-
Will they improve at school, thus opening doors which are about to close for them?

-
Will they be crushed by anxiety, or will they have the strength and support to build a plan to success?

-
Will they have access to the right information at the right time, so as to make conscious decisions?

Impact: Help parents succeed
-
Imagine having a kid, and devoting all your energies and resources to their education. For nearly two decades, you will be working towards helping them fulfill their potential. University is one of the most important milestones in that journey. Suddenly, major challenges stand in your way:
-
You do not understand your kid's international diploma, and grades are not up to scratch.
-
You do not know how to help your son or daughter make the most of the opportunities they have.
-
You do not understand foreign university applications
-
Likelihood is... your child is shutting down communication, as part of the much studied teenage-parent dynamics.
-

-
This is where educational consultants come in. You can help parents help their children, by acting as a bridge between knowledge and action, between intention and opportunity

Impact: work with students with Special Educational Needs
-
We work with students who have a variety of Special Education Needs, learning disorders, and histories of vulnerability, including
-
Dyscalculia
-
Asperger Syndrome
-
ADHD
-
Generalised Anxiety Disorder
-
Post-Traumatic stress disorder
-
Dyslexia
-

-
We partner with doctors and psychologists to guide our work as consultants in these instances.

-
As educational consultants, you will give students who have been labelled as "incapable of success", or as outcasts, the support they need to succeed at school, and find their path to a university they love.
Examples of scenarios where you will provide advice
(1) DAY TO DAY EDUCATIONAL DECISIONS

-
Can you comfort a student who believes they will never be good enough to do well in a given subject (e.g. mathematics), and instill them enough confidence to attempt a credible plan to get better?

-
EE, IAs, Maths AA vs Maths AI… Can you work with Italian families, who do not speak English, and explain to them how the confusing world of the International Baccalaureate works? Can you help them understand the challenges faced by their kids?

-
Can you spot when a student’s objectives have been set too high? Can you hold the conversation with their family to reframe those goals towards a more credible pathway?

-
Are you interested in matching pupils with the best tutor (typically a bright instructor who attended Cambridge, Harvard, Bocconi, or one of the world’s best universities), to help them work harder and smarter towards their objectives?

(2) UNIVERSITY APPLICATION GUIDANCE
-
Where should a student apply to university? What’s the difference between studying in the UK, USA, Netherlands, Italy, and Spain?

-
How do applications work? When should a family begin to prepare them? What interim objectives should students lay out, once they define where they want to apply?

-
Can you tell a good personal statement from a bad one? Do you know the difference between a UK personal statement and an American College application essay?

-
Can you discuss with a family whether their university ambitions are realistic or unrealistic?

-
What should a student do, if they are profoundly undecided as to where they should apply?
