Meet a university mentor: Jozef
-
Jozef teaches Economics, Econometrics and Statistics.
-
He is an Italian economist working for the government of Sierra Leone. Before working in the development sector, he worked for a prestigious environmental economics consultancy agency in London.
-
He received a Master's (cum laude) in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a degree with honors in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University in Milan.
-
Jozef has an extensive teaching experience and knows how to adapt to different situations: from working as a tutor, to teaching windsurfing in four different languages, to offering professional courses for economists and engineers working for Sierra Leone's government.
-
When he doesn't teach or work as an economist, Jozef is an environmental activist, and cultivates his passion for windsurfing. His experience as a competitive athlete (he won a bronze medal at the Windsurfing world championships, and competed in the Italian Olympic youth sailing team), allows him to be a unique tutor, because he knows how to push students to explore their passions and achieving excellence both inside and outside their lessons.

She received a PhD in theoretical physics from the Imperial College London, where she was also given the Tyndall Prize for the best research paper for her master's thesis, and received a First Class in physics.
-
She has eight years of teaching behind her; she cultivated her passion for teaching alongside a musical career as a multi-instrumentalist in a psychedelic punk rock band.
-
Her passion for music allows her to bring a unique energy into her physics classes, benefiting from the fact that she is a professional entertainer as well as a researcher and teacher.
